Riley, you are the sweetest boy...

Tulameen My Riley boy, I have never met a boy as sweet as you are. Some days I just do not have words for how much love I have for you, and after 4 days at Black Mountain without your Daddy, I have to admit that I am just so darn smitten with you. My darling, you have spent a couple of months on what I can only call a hunger strike. You have not been eating, and some days you want nothing other than milk. You were melting down some days an immeasurable number of times and your Mommy was starting to get frazzled. I took you to the dentist, because you were spending more time than not with your fingers jammed into your mouth. Dentist said your teeth were fine, and none were coming in, and your Mama was stumped. But then, just like that, one bite at a time, you started to get your appetite back. One night last week I made baked honey mustard chicken and was sure that your Daddy and I were the only two that were going to eat it, and darling boy, you ate it ALL up, and that was the s...

Layla Journey, you are 3 months old!!

Darling girl, how we ever lived without you, I just don't know. You have been in our lives for three short months, but you give so much to our little family. You have given our Riley one of his greatest joys. He just ADORES you, and being around you brings out a level of sweetness in our boy that we have just never seen. When Mommy unwittingly ate chocolate the other day, and your poor little body was rejecting it, the only thing that could soothe you was our sweet boy in your face.  It made him so proud that he was the only thing that could calm you, and I just swelled with love. You are just the sweetest and easiest baby. You eat, you sleep, you poop, and you smile - you are just such a love. In the last few weeks you are starting to become a real little person. You are smiling at all of us and you are making your likes (and unlikes!) known. We have learned that you like it when Papa and Grampa whistle for you, and when Auntie Carrie blows gently in your face. You smile ...
