Happiness Is....
Happiness is so many things in our lives, but often things that we forget about from day to day. Some days the people in your lives help you to take the blinders off and see the good things.
Happiness is:
* A cup of tea and honey in just the right mug. I have two mugs that I don't use all the time, but some days when I go to grab a mug, the only choice is one that I bought on a solo sightseeing trip in Korea, and one that my sister made for me many Christmases ago. Some people eat comfort food, I use a comfort mug.
* A fridge and cabinet filled with food.
* Snuggling up in that perfect comforter.
* A bright red flowering plant coming back to life before winter. I tried all Spring and Summer to keep this thing alive, but no matter what I did, it was just not pretty. Now, during the cold weather, it is coming to life! Red leaves, new buds, and flowers!
* An early morning phone call from my favourite 3 year old asking if me and Uncle Brady can come over for a playdate. OF COURSE we can!
* Having my favourite 3 year old and my favourite 7 year old come and crawl into bed at 6:45 a.m. to watch cartoons, after a fun, fun, fun sleepover.
* My husband's realizations of things that are very common to most people. Such as- the amazing way that conditioner leaves his hair feeling, after years of shampoo only!
* Being able to look at my whole life - past, present, and future, from my spot at the end of the dock.
* Easy conversations with Aunt's and Uncle's about anything and everything.
* Ice crystals on a leaf.
* Living so close to the ocean, so that when my feelings and my heart are heavy or conflicted, it is only a short trip to the ocean to re-energize my soul.
